Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival: 54th biggest annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival. Whole range of events in early June. Food, arts and crafts,p irates, torchlight parade, activities for children, fireworks and more.
 
Greyhound Racing: Fully enclosed and climate controlled kennel club, with action-packed greyhound racing, steak (beef) and seafood.

The county was created in the year 1821 and gets its name from Escambia River, whose name in turn comes from the Spanish word for "barter" or "exchange".
